Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion Review – $3.2k Electric Utility Moped

The HyperScorpion is a powerfully fast electric moped from Juiced Bikes, high-capacity battery and a custom Bafang motor provide impressive acceleration and range, available in the lower 48 US states with free shipping. Powerful lights and turn signals for safe and legal street operation, durable fenders, mirrors, and cargo accessories will be enticing for delivery workers, full suspension for a comfortable ride with a tall seat option for larger riders. Shimano Altus drivetrain is fairly basic but pairs great with the powerful electric system, sturdy and eye-catching construction looks and feels premium, easily capable of reaching 30mph (48kph) and beyond. May be too heavy for smaller riders but the weight does add stability at speed, technically a low-power scooter requiring registration in most states, online-only ordering means no “try before you buy” option and requires some assembly after unboxing. We purchased two Juiced Bikes for review and they gave us two for free to review. This is one that they gave to us for free 🙂

UPDATE: In the video, I recommended registering this as a Low Power Scooter to make sure that you ride legally. After some back-and-forth with the DMV in Colorado I have determined that this is not actually possible since Juiced Bikes does not provide a VIN or MSO. See the full written review (link in description) for more details on this.

This model originally pre-ordered for the price of $2,899 which is why that price is mentioned in the video. As of August 1st, the price has gone up to $3,199. This is displayed as a “sale price” discount of $300, which means the standard price is $3,499. It is not clear how long this current sale will run for.
